Last Minute Polymer Pendants

I'm having some friends over for a BBQ on Memorial Day, which means I need to clear off my kitchen table so it can be used as such again. Of course, yesterday when I was thinking I ought to get started on clearing off the table, I also thought I should sneak a bit of polymer time in first. I figured a few pieces for carving would be just right, right?

Now, since I have a new dog, this also means I have a dog house. Oh a whim, I decided to do an experiment and see if the dog house roof my be a usable prop for taking advantage of natural light. I'm still undecided on it, I like the texture (if you haven't already figured it out, I'm addicted to texture) but the color is pretty blah. Of course, I haven't tried putting a backdrop on the roof, either, and I think that'd be worth exploring.

First up, I can't get enough of this design. I love carving trees.

Second up, the colors of this one makes me think of a raspberry truffle. This one's also an experiment because I'm going to affix a bail instead of having pierced the clay before I baked it.

Thirdly, we have another experiment. I was making squares, and thought I ought to play with the shape a bit, so with a little manipulation, I got a star kind of shape. Then I thought I'd also play a bit with my tree theme (because what I love about that is having lines come off each other) and use jagged lines instead of curvilinear ones. Very lightning-esque, I think.

They're all gorgeous, but I love the last two. Raspberry and blue. Two of my favorite colors. I like the background. It doesn't interfere with the colors, but it isn't plain either.
